well it does drain more, I can ride I think around 40-45km and in mode 2 I can ride around 60km. But it really depends on the weather, so if you have headwind or warm weather etc.

Thanks for the reply, there a lack of wind where I am, but it's usually over 30degrees Celsius and above 85% humidity here; just curious on what temperature has to do with it?

well the batteries work better on high tempartures. So i need to live usually around 20 degrees celsius. That's good for a battery but in the winter i have seriously less range. (winter is around 0 degrees celsius)

What range u get at 0 degrees and 20 degrees? ( with speed of 45 km/h)

I have done some notes during my trips, in drive mode 3 limited, I had a discharge of 1.59-1.66% battery charge per kilometer according to the charging figures on the display (about 60km on a full battery).
In delimited mode 3 the statistics is between 1.91-2.67% per kilometer. (38-55km on a full battery)

I think the speed is most influential, not temperature and humidity, driving in 55-60km gives much more air resistance than 40-45km/h

One day with a lot of headwind on my way to work, I drained the battery down to 9% in only 33 kilometers in position 3, in limited mode, and a day without wind, I could arrive with 50% battery charge left.

So even if you got a higher top speed, I drive the most in position two, the biggest win with the delimited position is that running feels more relaxed, it rolls easily down slopes/hills, in limited mode it felts like it brakes to hold max 45km/h in downward slopes as well.

This is great info, I'm glad to hear the batteries work better in higher temperatures as there's no shortage of hot weather here (all year round). It sounds like no matter what you do the SOCO's weren't really made to perform at higher speeds, I can relate to what your saying @super-honda about downward slopes, my commute home from work is down a steep mountain road and switching to mode/gear 2 really slows the bike down. However, I do feel like I just need that bit more speed and acceleration on the straights, I might wait until I get a second battery until I switch to the unrestricted setting, I'm hoping I can get a hold of a Y-cable before I do, I'm sure there manufactured here (in China) but I haven't been able to find a retailer yet.

In my situation I get a range of 50 km a battery with speed of 48-50 km:h. With a windy situation I get around 40km a range! I haven’t drive in winters yet but I hope for the best!

So I unlocked/restricted my TC, in my first attempt I put it in mode/gear1 and followed the steps. The results were that no matter what mode/gear (1,2, or 3) I was in, the bike was restricted to the very slow speed of mode/gear 1. In result of this I then repeated the process again and it went back to the way it was when I rode it out of the shop i.e. mode/gear 1 was slow, mode/gear 2 was a bit more powerful and faster and mode/gear 3 was the max.

In result of this I came to assume that the bike was already unlocked/de-restricted upon purchase. But just to make sure I repeated the process twice in mode/gear 3 and it produced exactly the same result. This puzzled me as in instructional videos it is explained that there is two modes/power levels L1e (50cc) and L3e (125cc). In both modes/power levels there is a significant difference in speed and power output in modes/gears 1, 2, and 3; with L3e being a lot more faster and powerful of course.

https://youtu.be/mxN_FmfvT7E

However, with my TC it seems to be restricted to two modes/power levels where it is either locked to the slow speed of mode/gear 1 not matter if I am in mode/gear 1, 2, or 3. Or unlocked where there is a increase in speed and power in modes/gears 2 and 3.

Is this something to do with the software?...like since it's a later model have they changed the modes/power output functions and capabilities? Or am I doing something wrong?

Btw, the max speed I was able to get out of it (since I purchased it from the dealer the way it is) is about 80-85kmph on a flat (slightly downhill) stretch of road after going full throttle in mode/gear 3 for a good amount of time.
