Help I have just bought a super soco tc max, it powers up ok but when you twist the throttle it just clicks quite loud and lurches forward and that’s it? But if you keep twisting the throttle sometimes it will go and then stop? Any help would be great fully appreciated.

You able to run the diagnostics through the app to see if it flags anything?

Maybe a hall sensor problem or a phase wire problem on the motor causing cogging. Definitely worth checking all your connections

Hopefully you have the gps module installed. It’s not Bluetooth but connects via mobile network. If you take off the left hand panel there should be a module with a qr code on it. If you do then you have a wireless module

@tattoo65 download the app onto your phone from the App Store and just follow the steps. Hopefully should all connect up and you’ll be able to see your battery level etc

I’m now confused the app tells you the IMi code is 15 digits but the one on mine has 16 digits?

Can’t get the app to work as it says there are 15 numbers and I have 16? I have found if you keep twisting the throttle it will pull away but then cuts out until you do the same with the throttle?

@tattoo65 ah ok I see. Where abouts are you based?

you been over all the connectors? Defiantly worth checking for a bad connection and any corrosion that could be causing signals to be bad.

@tattoo65 ah ok I’m kingston based so not far away.

Have you got access to a multimeter. Reckon your best bet is to start checking you got voltages and signals all in the right places

@tattoo65 any luck fixing your issue at all?

have you tried unplugging your hall sensor wires and testing the motor to see if it runs. The controller may still operate in sensor less mode hopefully and will give you a indication of the problem. Definitely worth a try but do it with the wheel up in the air rather than sitting on it with the torque of moving the you and bike.

@lhkthank you again, where are the hall sensor wires. I have all the plastics off the bike so I can see all the wiring.

@tattoo65 so from the motor you will see three big thick phase wires coming off. These are your main motor power cables, they run to your controller. There should then also be a thinner wire bundle coming from your motor with a disconnect plug along it. These will be your hall sensor wires. Again they run to your controller but are a lot thinner so should be easy enough to identify.

I saw your post in Facebook, good shout. Definitely check warranty before playing too much but if it’s out of warranty then definitely nothing to loose.

Well that’s it while I had the bikes rear wheel off the floor so I could check if the bike would run with no load on it which it did but still intermittently. When it was running it just cut out completely no power at all as if the battery was completely flat! Even the speedo needle is stuck at the speed it was doing when it cut out.
