Greetings Peeps,

I've got a 2nd user TCM 2020. I want via the App' to BIND it me.

I have tried but it looks like the previous owner has to do the UN-BINDing.  Is this the case or is there any info about it on this forum which will allow me to do it.?

BTW I've asked main dealers, they don't know!!! and been trying to contact Vmoto via email, nothing heard yet.

Cheers

😎

Yes, you are correct. The previous owner have to unbind the app. After this is happened you should be able to bind it to your phone.

So if for any reason I can't contact the PO I'm stumped.

I did have one unbelievable reply from Vmoto that suggested replacing the ECU, how ridiculous is that.

Still trying other means.

Cheers

They advised the right thing as you refused to investigate this issue before you buy a used  bike.

I wish I could contact the previous owner and ask them to un-bind.

Therefore your reply does not apply, I'm looking for means to solve the issue. If you can't offer any useful advise, please don't reply at all.

@billy-bob bit rude, it's binded to previous owner to help prevent theft. Either buy new ECU or replace the SIM card or contact previous owner

@billy-bob - agree with you!

For the second hand market there needs to be a process of proving you’ve bought the bike to then unbind it remotely from previous owner.
With data protection laws, there’s no way dealers are going to give out previous owners details. And previous owners are likely to forget to unbind as they sell.

@andrew8

Couldn't agree more, it's a makers software issue they need to sort out, should be simple enough.
