I have a CUx and just bought the 2022 Tc Cafe racer, I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the lack of power compared to my CUx which handled Hills and held speed perfectly,

The TC doesn't hold speed limits what so ever take off is fine the moment I reach 46 the Speedometer starts reducing?

Why is my brand new Tc not able to hold a speed limit?  Not to mention no cruise control to hold speed ?

I have a feeling the dealership hasn't updated my firmware correctly or something?!

Your probably aware already that most hub motors suck at inclines compared to mid-mount motors like th ones found in the TC-Max.

I'm buying a TC-Cafe Racer in a couple of weeks.

I consider the TC-Cafe Racer an "at market entry price point item" and functionally impractical/unfinished unless it's upgraded.

I need it for transport to work and I havent got the time to get a motorcycle licence in the next 2 weeks.

Anyway...

You need to buy a new controller as the Super Soc Controller is "Locked" as per accordance with Australian and Queensland Law.

Have a look at youtube video's of unlocked TC- Cafe (non-max) Racers.

Everyone seems quite happy.

NOTE!!!

If you do this your TC wont be street legal and unless you have a motorcycle licence you will also be unlicenced for that class of vehicle... .. ..

That's IF you get pulled over by the Police AND they workout you've changed the firmware. (controller).

The controller is by far-driver.com but you can buy from WOOD-NIU controller and controller battery solutions.

A new controller will derestrict the TC Cafe racer to 80km/Hr.

I'm buying the 72300 controller but also getting and additional Super Soco 60v-30ah Battery with parallel battery Y-cable module or maybe just upgrading to the WOODNIU 60v-60ah Battery.

The guy from Team-Moto is telling me the TC Cafe racer (non-max version) only has room for one battery?

Is this right for the 2022 version or is he mistaken?

Your options are :

1. buy a controller from Fardriver and maybe have to program it yourself.

2. Buy from woodniu a 72300 and specify no additional or replacement battery. Unlocked to 70Km/Hr

3.Buy from woodniu a 72300 and specify additional or replacement battery. Unlocked to 80Km -90Km/Hr and increase range.

The 72300 controller will run a Hub motor up to 5000w. The TC-Cafe Racer has a bosch 1900W peaking to 3000W Bosch Hub Motor.

When I get my motorcycle licence I'll be upgrading the hub motor to the 5000w QSMOTOR Hub Motor.

When puchasing the controller you need to specify your EXACT hardware configuration so they can install the correct custom firmware for your setup.

A 4000W motor rates at :

Speed: 60 – 120km/h
Torque: 30 – 220N.m

* TYRES

Also putting bigger tyres on will give us a 5km/ hr boost!

Front tyre 90/80/17
Rear tyre 120/70/17/

Seems to be the optimal consensus

* QSMOTOR

Also Make sure the Transit Power Cable has be switched out and removed.

The 72300 fardriver controller is half the price of the WoodNIU (fardriver) 72300 controller.
