I'm looking at batteries that seem to be intended for Super Soco TS/TC/TCMax: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000776208388.html

This is really quite interesting, as they're much cheaper than Super Soco batteries. Also, they offer "parallel" versions. Does that even work? Are these the explodey kind of Chinesium battery?

All third party batteries to Socos MUST be connected parallel to to a stock battery, no one has managed to copy all functions in the stock batterys BMS, just hook up a 48v battery to it it will not start up!

So whats you do is to add some juice to the stock battery.
Dont think this batteries will explode as the cheap hooverboards, seems reliable housings and most sellers can give you Samsung or LG cells for som extra cost!

You connect it directely to the controller, has to be connected and charged to its own charger/connector;

If you wanna go real cheap, buy a "blue package" lithium battery at Aliexpress or similar, just as I did for my electric trial bike, looks for seller that offers japanese quality cells!

if you can get the specification from the seller, then I don't see why not - i found it impossible to get information, language barrier i think

see if you can find out if the cells are good (4.2V and 10A output, good brand like Samsung), and information on the BMS, ie whether you can set the BMS to under-charge - and also confirm the BMS has decent over charge, over discharge and over temp protection

This store seems to sell also the original battery:
https://a.aliexpress.com/_dVclsWq

The price is very close to the price you can find at almost all dealers in europe.

This makes me think the battery you found does not have original branded Samsung or Panasonic batteries.

But worth to ask of course the seller and share with us 🙂

Btw, I also searched for TC battery on aliexpress and found this store long time ago.

I am a bit suspicious because it has too less items sold, insufficient reviews, therefore too risky.

Not sure if they deliver to your country... the cheapest original battery I found is from here:

This is for TC, but you can find also for TS/TC Max.
