It may sound low-tech, but the easiest way to avoid theft is to put a fat chain lock 🔓 around the rear wheel. 😅
I read the article; my guess is the manufacturer is Chinese, so they might want to know where all the scooters are... ?

I just got my TC, and downloaded the app. I looked everywhere for the QR code so I could use the app, but to no avail. I contacted the dealership, and they informed me that the app is only meant for European markets, and isn't developed for North America. So, for anyone reading this thread and wondering, now you know.
