Hi everyone ?

I am hoping to buy a Super Soco TC, but I am having trouble getting an insurance quote.

Are there any UK based riders here who could let me know which insurers they use and how much I can expect to pay?

I'm a first time rider, taking my CBT very soon

Thanks!

Lexham insurance started my insurance from the day I passed the CBT at 16 for £799 third party, fire and theft for myself plus an additional rider.  I also did the £69 (I think) to get the £600 refund for excess after it gets stolen.

Hi Jim, it was a struggle to find a company but in the end I went with Lexham Insurance. I paid about £250 fully comp, however I am 32 years old!  ?

I'm with MCE Insurance but as a 60 year old rider with 40 years riding experience and 15 years no claims bonus I was still charged £886! I think it's because I am London based because that racks up the cost of cover. My insurance has always been expensive.

My dealer recommended Lexham (above) or MCE, and I was already with MCE

Thanks ?

I've been quoted £550 third party by Lexham, seemed high to me but perhaps not!

I thought mine was bad at £202, also from Lexham, but seems I got off lightly... ?

I also got mine from Lexham six months ago for £250 fully comp for a TS.

I'm 35, just passed my CBT though had a car license for 17 years, and live in West Lothian (near Edinburgh) for reference.

Interesting, as a 35yo who's just passed his CBT (18 years full driving licence) in the west of Edinburgh I pay £280 fully comp with MCE for a TC Max.

Off topic: I look forward to coming across you on the road! Not yet seen any other electric motorbike outside of a dealership.

That's weird. I rang MCE for a quote for a TC Max in August but they said they only insure the TC and wouldn't insure the TC Max. I ended up going with Lexham.
