Can i just 100% confirm with you?

You extended the charge cable and it only had 2 cores of wire in it?

I just want to check before i cut mine!

Thanks.

Hi Paula,

Yes, it is 2 core cable, and for the record it still works beautifully and has never given me a moment’s trouble.

Just make sure the joins will be out of the rain. Make the cut nearer to the bike end of the cable so the join will be under the bike’s cover when in use. And buy connectors that give you a good seal.

Thanks!
I've built a little house for the charger in my garden, I'm going to use waterproof connectors to be 100% safe

These are ideal - and you are lucky to have somewhere undercover to do this! I chose connectors to make it easy to put the charger back together if I ever wanted to carry it with me, but you have a more permanent solution here.

Do make sure you have an RCD somewhere, ideally plug the charger into the RCD and the RCD into the socket. That way if you do spring a leak or there is some other problem the power to the charger will be cut off.

Ah - is that a TC Max?

Must be control cables I guess, can’t help you with that I’m afraid.
