As many of you might already know, we have now 4 broken front rims (on 2 different TC, including the replacement rims which were replaced unter guarantee). Here are photos of the broken rims:

(we live in very hilly terrain and need to brake a lot downhill)

So now it's clear that the rims of the Super Soco TC do not withstand everyday use in mountain terrain, we need to look for a rim which does not break and expose us to life threatening accidents.

Anyone a idea which rim we could use and which fits?

What about the spoke wheel that is in option on the TC MAX?

I suppose that would fit, no?

Check for rims from other gasoline mopeds, enduro/offroad models, many brands/models has 17", I compare with my other mopeds, a Derbi Senda SM -11, a Rieju SMT -16 with casted rims 17" and a chinese TMS offroad -08 with spoke rim 18". Compared to the Soco all have the disc brake to the left, all three have a similar through axle with a nut and the wheels is assembled on the front axle whit a distance/sleeve on each side to get it positioned right.

I dont think you will find another rim that will fit right on the Soco, but with some customization you can get some rims to fit, the axle diameter must be the same, but the sleeves/distances to the right and left that most brands use makes it easy to adapt it to fit Soco then you can do them shorter or longer, if the disc is on the left side of the rim it can be mounted in the other direction, biggest issue it that the disc brake must be moved from Soco rim to the new one, it must have right distance from centrum/sideways to fit the fork mounted caliper, two options here, make a distance plate/ring to move the discs attachment regards the rim (works only if the disk is positioned to near centrum) or move/add washers between the adapter plate and the fork ears for the brake caliper.
