There are 4 small pins but only 3 are actually connected to the battery inside.
The Super Soco Standard charger has 2 pins (+ and -, about 70.5 V) which fit into the 2+4 pins of the battery connector. For charging the data pins are not necessary. The data pins report the state of charge, the battery errors and the battery temperature to the controller. (what prototol?)
The external charging socket of the bike has only the + and - pins connected.
The battery paralleler has 2 pins (+ and -) and 2 data pins on the battery plugs.
It is interesting that the battery has only 3 pins connected inside, like the NIU battery.
It does work but it’s not very strong. It’s where the motor charges the battery while slowing down which requires less use of the friction brakes.
It’s indeed very faint. And the problem I have is that after the regen process sometimes the throttle doens’t react. This is very dangerous when you slow down at a crossroad and then want to take off again.

Yeah me too. It seem that when the battery senses regen, it goes into a ‘charge mode’ that lasts for about 3 seconds. Very strange design and also yes a little dangerous!

This issue is caused by customers ‘riding the throttle’. They are keeping it a little bit open when cruising, but not at the speed of the bike. The throttle / speed is linear. If the customer keeps the throttle at 20% when the bike is at 80% speed, the controller registers an error. This is cleared by closing the throttle – the alternative is that the customer is able to open up the throttle (without realising it’s already open) with unpredictable results.
I have been able to replicate on both TS and TC, but it’s much less obvious on the TS owing to the lower power. So, not a defect, more a characteristic of the controller. I will register with the manufacturer that some customers are having difficulties.
Another reason why i'm also looking into doing a cruise control mod. If you've ridden a NIU or any other decently speedy ebike then you know how nice it is to not have to throttle nonstop. It doesn't get a lot of use, but when it does get used it's ridiculously convenient. Especially for the inner city roads with long straights without lights. Much nicer to be at a steady pace instead of having to keep the wrist in the same position or going up and down in speed.

Would love to have this. As you say, it's not relaxing when you have to cruise when trying to hold the throttle in the "right" position. Any suggestions? Off-the-shelve options?
Can't make any suggestions since I don't have the bike yet 🙁 Still 1.5-2months on the max coming in. If I manage to get something working i'll post here for sure. There's a lot of chop-shop style places where I am so they're good at modding bikes. Seen them make a NIU go 110 lol. They've also changed blinker sounds and such. So probably i'll have to buy the parts myself but they might be up for doing it. If they are then i'll see if I can take videos or pictures of the process/parts.

I got my TC this weekend and I think this is the issue I am experiencing -
I am riding along, breaking, going etc. and suddenly the 'Charge' symbol flashes on the speed-dial, I lose complete power for a few seconds and then power comes back. (im not sure what I do to get it back or if it just comes back after a few seconds)
Is there a method to not allow this to happen? Sorry if I didn't fully understand your post from VMoto, I am trying to understand how to work with the throttle/breaks so this does not happen -

Definitely a dangerous situation could occur especially when you need throttle to power you out of a traffic situation, etc.
I have bought four super Soco and i always seem to have the problem with the throttle and it quits when you drive Very dangerous
